Your Specialist

Expert nourishment for your hardest chapter.

Ricardo Terminel-Zaragoza is a specialist in oncological nutrition with a Master of Science, a specialization in Cancer Biology, and ten years of clinical experience working with patients undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy.

Every assessment is conducted personally by Ricardo — not delegated to a junior nutritionist on his team. When you book, you get the specialist.

Nutrition during cancer treatment is not the same as general healthy eating. Your body’s metabolic needs shift dramatically cycle by cycle, and the dietary advice that applies outside of treatment can actively work against you during it.

“My purpose in practice is simple: to deliver the clinical guidance you deserve. Guidance that is built specifically to mitigate your symptoms, sustain your energy, and support your body through treatment— not adapted from a generic plan.”

Is this for you?

If you’re navigating treatment and nutrition feels impossible — this is for you.

01

You may have been told to “eat well and stay strong” without being told how to do that while managing nausea, taste changes, appetite loss, or fatigue from your treatment.

02

You may have found conflicting advice online — or received dietary guidance from someone who doesn’t understand what chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or immunotherapy actually does to your body.

03

You may be a caregiver researching on behalf of someone you love.

Wherever you are in your journey — if you want expert guidance built specifically around your treatment protocol, this consultation exists for you.

The Process

Three steps. No obligation beyond the first.

01

Step 1 — Book your assessment:

Use the calendar below to choose a time that works for you. Complete the brief intake form and pay the $200 assessment fee via Stripe. You’ll receive a confirmation immediately.

02

Step 2 — Your 45-minute video consultation:

We meet on Zoom or Google Meet. You share your case — Ricardo listens, asks the right questions, and builds a clinical picture of your nutritional needs relative to your specific treatment protocol.

03

Step 3 — Receive your targeted plan:

At the end of your session, you receive a personalized nutritional diagnosis and a clear map of the areas we can work on together to manage your side effects. You leave with clarity.

Note: Patients who want continued support after their assessment have the option to begin a personalized 3 or 6-month treatment plan. This is offered during the consultation — never before, and never with any pressure.

What Patients Say

"I had been getting generic advice from three different sources. In 40 minutes with Ricardo I had more clarity than I'd had in four months of treatment."

Jerry Reynolds, Prostate Cancer, Radio & Chemotherapy, Fremont, CA, USA

"The nausea was making it impossible to eat. Ricardo gave me a specific plan for my chemo days that actually worked. I finally felt like I had some control again."

Laura Rangel, Breast Cancer, Radio, Chemo & Immunotherapy, Nebraska City, NE, USA

Frequently Asked Questions

01

Does this replace my oncologist's recommendations?

No. Your oncologist manages your treatment; this assessment focuses on the part your treatment team often doesn't have time to cover in depth — how to actually eat through it. Any guidance you receive is meant to work alongside your medical team, not instead of it. If anything discussed conflicts with instructions from your care team, your oncologist's guidance always comes first.

02

Will changing my diet interfere with my chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or immunotherapy?

The goal is the opposite — this assessment is built around your specific treatment protocol, so recommendations are shaped by what your body is going through right now, not generic "healthy eating" advice that can work against you during treatment. If anything requires a conversation with your oncology team first, you'll be told clearly.

03

What if I don't know much about my diagnosis or treatment plan yet?

Come with whatever you know. Many patients book this assessment in the first few weeks after diagnosis, before everything makes sense yet. Ricardo will ask the right questions during your session to build a clear picture — you don't need to arrive with answers already prepared.

04

Can a family member or caregiver join the call, or book on my behalf?

Yes. Many sessions are booked by a spouse, adult child, or caregiver on behalf of someone in treatment, and caregivers are welcome to join the video call directly. If you're supporting someone through this, you can handle the entire process for them.

05

If I need more support after the 40 minutes, will I be pressured into anything?

No. If continued support would help — through a personalized 3 or 6-month plan — that option is only mentioned during your session itself, never before, and never with pressure. Your $200 assessment stands on its own whether or not you choose to continue.

06

What happens if I can't make my appointment?

If a genuine medical emergency prevents you from attending, email drricardo@nutrition-for-cancer.com directly and you'll be sent a link to reschedule. Outside of a medical emergency, the $200 assessment fee is non-refundable, so we'd encourage choosing a time you're confident you can keep.
